Learn to build your circle of calm to become the eye of the storm

By Discovering the Stillness Within we can heal our disconnection from  our inner peace of mind. It’s all about surrendering into the great nothingness of the universal source of consciousness that we are all connected to/disconnected from .Our spiritual Rites of Passage are there for us all to engage fully in as we move through them consciously or unconsciously in our daily lives . When we develop the stillness within we learn how to hold our centre like the eye of the storm. While all around us the storm rages we still manage to hold our centre and still the stormy waters no matter what we are hit with.


When we achieve this we become consciously awake to the Stillness Within that we once knew and were connected to before we got here. When we embrace the separation monster of our greatest fears we can transmute it to Love. When we begin to understand and integrate this awareness we learn how to cross over the bridge of separation to a safe place allowing us to grow in success and happiness.


The manifestation of separateness occurs as we enter the human experience of psychical birth and our first attempts to stay with the fetus  Separation fighting I understand but that is the part of the struggle to be as the ego requires control and the soul craves for freedom. Hence sometime the desire to leave the struggle behind and miss the opportunity achieve the very thing we came here to achieve... evolvement/awakening can be a real challenge as we try to balance out our psychical emotion and spiritual connection in this collectively perceived reality called normal.

THE GATEWAY TO MINDFULNESS

Recent studied results indicate that group mindfulness treatment is as effective a 

treatment method as individual CBT for treating depression and anxiety. 

This means that group mindfulness treatment should be considered as an alternative 

to individual psychotherapy, especially at primary health care centres that cannot 

afford to offer everyone individual therapy.


The above story is based on materials provided by Lund University, Sweden http://www.lunduniversity.lu.se/ 


This is one way to solve the Mental Health problem here in Ireland. Group mindfulness 

treatment is as effective as individual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in patients 

with depression and anxiety, according to a new study from Lund University in Sweden 

and Region Skåne. This is the first randomized study to compare group mindfulness 

treatment and individual cognitive behavioral therapy in patients with depression 

and anxiety in primary health care.


A total of 215 patients were included in the study. Before and after treatment, 

the patients in the mindfulness and regular treatment groups answered questionnaires 

that estimated the severity of their depression and anxiety. Self-reported symptoms 

of depression and anxiety decreased in both groups during the 8-week treatment period. 

There was no statistical difference between the two treatments.The study's results 

indicate that group mindfulness treatment is as effective a treatment method as 

individual CBT for treating depression and anxiety.This means that group mindfulness 

treatment should be considered as an alternative to individual psychotherapy,especially 

at primary health care centres that can't afford to offer everyone individual therapy.
